In today's episode of the podcast I sit down and talk with one of my former teammates Matt Reid.
Matt had a very impressive playing career having played for the US National Team at U-16 and U-17 representing the US in Germany and Japan. Reid was selected by the Ottawa 67’s in the OHL Priority Selection Draft but chose to attend Northwood Prep where he committed to Clarkson University (NCAA-D-I) where he won an ECAC Championship in 1999.
After his college career Matt received a contract in the Washington Capitals Organization where he played for the Portland Pirates and then went on to play Pro Hockey in Europe. Following his return to the United States, Matt played 4 seasons with Hershey Bears and South Carolina Stingrays. During his professional playing career Matt was a part of 4 Championship teams, received numerous team MVP and Offensive awards, and was coached by several current NHL coaches.
